Indeed, God, our Creator, knows better than we do what lies within our hearts and what truly brings them happiness, both in time and in eternity.

Hosts from tabernacle scattered across a town square. On September 19, unknown perpetrators entered the Sacred Heart of Mary parish church in Guitiriz, Lugo, Spain, forced open the tabernacle and stole the silver ciborium containing hosts. They were later found scattered outside in the town square. The Diocese of Mondoñedo-Ferrol described the incident as a grave profanation of the Eucharist. The parish filed a complaint and the Guardia Civil opened an investigation. Investigators are reportedly reviewing security cameras from nearby businesses. Bishop Fernando García Cadiñanos will celebrate a Eucharist of reparation at the church on 29 September.

Cardinal McElroy hails Leo XIV’s shift from “unfortunate” Catechism teaching. Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington, writing at NcROnline.org on September 23, said that “during the past six months, we have witnessed a remarkable transformation in Catholic teaching on war.” McElroy praised the “tremendous progress” made during that period toward “eclipsing the role of the just war tradition in Catholic teaching.” “The just war framework has been distorted to become a source of justification for those inclined to go to war, rather than a constraint on war,” McElroy claimed. Dziś rano, na terenie Opactwa Sióstr Benedyktynek w Jarosławiu doszło do ataku nożownika (31-letniego obywatela Ukrainy) na grupę osób, które prawdopodobnie zgromadziły się na poranne nabożeństwo. W wyniku napaści zginął kapłan - ks. Stanisław, rektor ośrodka rekolekcyjnego. Dwóch kolejnych duchownych (w tym ks. Marek) jest w bardzo poważnym stanie. W ataku ranione zostały również inne osoby, w tym jedna kobieta. Do morderstwa doszło po godzinie 9:00. Natomiast o 10:00 miała rozpocząć się Msza Święta. Sprawca został ujęty. Świadkami była m.in. młodzież, która chwilę wcześniej zwiedzała Opactwo, które jest otwarte. Pozostaje nam podjąć pilny szturm modlitewny, zwłaszcza za tych, którzy teraz walczą o życie..
