A Secret Beneath Lautaro Martínez's Socks: Argentine striker Lautaro Martínez wears an image of Our Lady of Luján, Argentina's patron saint, inside his shin guards. The devotion was revealed after Argentina's dramatic 3–2 win over Egypt at the World Cup, when TV cameras caught the image during a post-match interview. FIFA prohibit religious messages on players' kit.

"There is no such thing as an 'emergency Church' that can withdraw from the visible unity of the Church in order to establish an ecclesial order not in full communion with the Successor of Peter."
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) rejected a Doctrinal Declaration proposed by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), which would have been followed by the granting of a canonical status, Monsignor Guido Pozzo told LaNuovaBq.it on July 7. A meeting took place on 28 February 2018 at the Congregation between Cardinal Luis Ladaria, then Prefect, Monsignor Guido Pozzo, and Bishop Bernard Fellay. Bishop Fellay said he would submit the Declaration to the FSSPX General Chapter, scheduled for July 2018. At that Chapter, on 11 July 2018, Father Davide Pagliarani was elected Superior General. In the autumn of 2018, Cardinal Ladaria and Monsignor Pozzo met with Father Pagliarani. Monsignor Pozzo on Fr Pagliarani: "He informed us that he would not sign the Declaration, as he considered it insufficient and inadequate to address the difficulties and critical issues raised by the FSSPX, and that Rome would have to acknowledge its errors." Why Ecclesia Dei Commission Was …badan
Spanish Priest Sentenced to 52 Years for Sexually Assaulting Four Women: A court in Málaga, Spain, has sentenced Catholic priest "Father Fran" to 52 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting four women between 2014 and 2018, including three rapes. He was found to have rendered the victims unconscious with an unidentified substance and recorded parts of the abuse. The Diocese of Málaga was held civilly liable for over €403,000 in compensation, with the court ruling the crimes were linked to his pastoral role. Under Spanish law, his effective prison term is expected to be capped at 20 years.

First Canadian Town Grants Trees a 'Right to Life': On 9 June, the town of Terrasse-Vaudreuil in Quebec, home to around 2,000 people, became the first place in Canada to adopt a resolution enshrining the 'rights' of trees. The resolution includes rights such as the right to life, natural growth, integrity and regeneration. Mayor Michel Bourdeau said the initiative was inspired by filmmaker André Desrochers and his film 'Des arbres et des arts'. Meanwhile, around 30,000 human beings are aborted in Quebec each year, and more than 100,000 in Canada as a whole. Since its legalisation in 2016, more than 100,000 Canadians have died through euthanasia (MAID).
“Fornicator I always was; heretic I never was”, the last words of St. Andrew Wouters, a priest who was a known womanizer, that had fathered many children, but was martyred by Calvinists for refusing to renounce the Catholic faith, on this day in 1572.

On June 26, the Archdiocese of Chicago, ruined by Cardinal Blase Cupich, dedicated a memorial for suiciders. The memorial, titled "At Peace," is located at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. According to the Archdiocese, it is the first memorial established by a Catholic archdiocese in the United States specifically for suiciders. The Vicar General, auxiliary Bishop Lawrence Sullivan, said in a June 24 statement that the memorial was created to "honor the lives lost to suicide". And: "Historically, the Catholic Church denied Catholic funerals in churches and burials in consecrated ground for individuals who died by suicide. The Church has undergone a significant transformation in its understanding of suicide and mental illness and now recognizes that many who die by suicide suffer from mental illness and unbearable pain. The Church now embraces these individuals and affirms that they are with God, not condemned." #newsBdkpdqzsck

Jim Ferguson @JimFergusonUK "WE SHOULD NEVER FIND OUT." WHY WOULD ANY SCIENTIST SAY THAT? Author Matt Ridley has revealed an extraordinary conversation he says he had with a senior UK scientist. According to Ridley, the scientist told him: "It's very important we never find out." When Ridley asked why, he says the answer was: "Because it would disrupt relations with China... You're probably right, it probably did come out of a lab, but it's better we don't find out." Ridley's response cuts to the heart of the issue: When a plane crashes, the world investigates. The findings are shared globally so future disasters can be prevented. Why should the origins of a pandemic that changed the course of human history be treated any differently? Whether COVID-19 originated from a lab or emerged naturally, the same principle should apply: Truth. Transparency. Accountability. If this conversation happened as Ridley describes it, the public deserves answers—not silence. Watch. Decide for yourself.. …badan
In the historic centre of Turin, Italy, stands the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi. In the sixteenth century, the church temporarily safeguarded the Shroud of Turin, after its transfer from Chambéry. Is is an active church in the Archdiocese of Turin, with regular Masses and the Blessed Sacrament reserved. Since spring 2020, however, the church has also served as the regular place of worship for the Evangelical Lutheran Community of Turin. The Lutheran congregation is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Italy (CELI) and has administrative offices elsewhere in the city, but no church of its own. This arrangement is permanent. During the installation of Pastor Tobias Brendel in September 2022, which took place in the Catholic church, a Catholic deacon symbolically presented the new pastor with a set of keys. The Lutheran community said that this recognised the relationship of trust that had developed since the shared use of the church began in 2020. This appears to have been …badan
Benedict XVI's former secretary Georg Ganswein has spoken out on the restrictions imposed on the Latin Mass under Traditionis Custodes, saying that the time has come 'to lift those restrictions and move beyond the setback represented by that text'
Archbishop Georg Gänswein hopes the restrictions on the Mass in the Roman rite will be lifted, he told Il Giornale on July 7. Looking back to Benedict XVI's 2007 Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, Monsignor Gänswein said the Pope wanted to restore “full rights to a rite that had never been abolished”: “His goal was to give it its rightful place again within the Church and to restore peace in the Church's liturgical life.” According to Archbishop Gänswein, Summorum Pontificum was not conceived as a step toward reconciliation with the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. Rather, “it was directed toward the Church itself.” Benedict XVI was pleased with the results of this reform. “It was beginning to bear fruit. It worked especially well among young people, and this is evident above all in the steadily growing numbers participating each year in the Paris-to-Chartres pilgrimage.” Monsignor Gänswein added that these young people are not opposed to the Second Vatican Council: “Anyone who …badan
In a July 6 InfoVaticana.com opinion piece ("Tribune"), Pedro Gómez Carrizo argues that decades of doctrinal and disciplinary drift have hollowed out the Church's authority. He writes that Leo XIV demands obedience from the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. after years of treating other disputes as negotiable, contextual, or exempt. Leo XIV' Priorities Exposed Rome has tolerated what Carrizo considers far more serious ruptures than the episcopal consecration of the FSSPX: - Germany's Synodal Way, which has drifted toward schism without consequence. - Episcopal appointments negotiated with China's Communist Party. - Blessings of homosexual couples. - Liturgical experimentation. - Synodality, which has repackaged old heresies as "innovation". The willingness to make exceptions in many controversial areas while drawing an absolute line at Écône, Carrizo contends, exposes the pope’s priorities rather than his strength. "The Signature Is Tucho's; the Failure Is Leo XIV's" Carrizo portrays …badan
Prevost did not inherit a "crisis"; rather, he is part of the apostasy of his infamous mentor Bergoglio—part of the anti-Christian army waging war against God—which is something very different. Refusing to see reality means being under a diabolical spell. Let us begin with the irrefutable fact that Benedict did not resign from the papacy; there was a flaw in the resignation—whether involuntary or voluntary—that rendered it invalid. Consequently, there was no apostolic succession, and we are facing yet another false pope who openly defies God and the Church—one who acts against the faith and against morality. Against the faith: he promotes the heresy of religious indifferentism under the guise of "ecumenism"; he profanes the priesthood and the papacy by recognizing the elevation of a female Lutheran heretic as legitimate; he calls a mosque—where the false god Allah is worshipped—a "sacred place"; and from the very beginning of his sacrilegious, apostate priesthood, he has offered worship …badan

Mozart at a monastery on a Greek island, a striking setting despite the blustering wind audible in the video. With the monks of Toplou monastery in Crete in attendance among the capacity audience, Greek soprano Christina Poulitsi and Placido Domingo charmed with their duet from "Don Giovanni" on a summer night three years ago today.
The complete surrender of the "counterfeit Church" (Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich) to the spirit of the world and a profane ideology. It is completely losing its identity as the Sacred Bride of Christ.
Crazy! Used to be that Orthodox monasteries forbade women to set foot on their grounds, or at least be covered up if allowed. Mount Athos denies females - even animals (except birds).
***Ex-Zelensky adviser Arestovich DEMOLISHED Western PROPAGANDA on Putin Putin is too kind and good a person compared to how they portray him. --- Ignorance, the root and stem of all evil …
I am not sure what he means by this, but that man would never play anyone or lead anyone on as the US and others have done to him. Putin has outplayed everyone. After all this administration is the one that said, we are not intermediators after all those talks. And we are on the side of Ukraine! Just as I have said they were. Two assassination attempts in months apart? More sanctions than all the Presidents combined? Giving money, weapons, ammo, and INTEL? Attacking Putin every time zelensky bombed inside of Russia and so much more. They were definitely playing this man who thought he found a friend in trump.
Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington now says he removed Msgr. Stephen Rossetti as a Washington exorcist not because of his demons-and-UFOs comments, but because exorcism should be a private ministry. In a June 29 interview released July 8, McElroy said his objection was that exorcists should stick to quietly helping people in serious cases, not operate publicly: "It wasn't touching on the question of UFOs... my major objection is that I think the traditional role of an exorcist is a very private one." That explanation contradicts the archdiocese's own June statement announcing the removal. It said Rossetti's UFO comments "gravely undermine the Church's very precise teaching on the devil, demons and exorcism." Monsignor Rossetti had said in a video that he thinks many UFO sightings are demons capable of feats beyond human ability, such as impossible high-speed maneuvers. #newsYvdpsotlwj
