On Palm Sunday, Leo XIV used again a ferula that features a risen Christ leaving the cross. He has used it since 6 January 2026. On 9 January, the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations told VaticanNews.va that the cross "unites the mission of proclaiming the mystery of Christ on the cross with the glorious manifestation of the resurrection". The ferula "presents Christ no longer bound by the nails of the Passion, but with his glorified body", according to the papal office. And: "The Paschal Mystery thus becomes a source of hope for humanity because death no longer has any power over mankind since Christ redeemed everything he assumed." #newsBcyvklvfjo
This ferula is inconsistent with the truth of the Gospel. Jesus resurrected out of the tomb, not off of the cross. On the cross he was absolutely, completely and utterly, dead. His crucifixion and death was the most through and through complete offering of His whole Self for us to God. It is the most awful and beautiful expression of love in the entire universe, and a continuing challenge to us who claim to 'love' like Him! Why shrink from showing His beautiful death to the whole world?
Aprajita Nafs Nefes Ancient Believer @aprajitanefes |In the Philippines, where oil reserves are on the verge of depletion, people are now walking to work. With only ~45 days of fuel left, Marcos declared a national energy emergency due to the Middle East conflict. Prices have doubled. Public transport is crippled. This is the real face of global energy wars the poor and import-dependent nations pay first and pay hardest. Share if you see the pattern. x.com/aprajitanefes/status/2037110722585567718
1. The War Was Predictably Destabilizing The speaker begins by saying any competent analyst should have known that attacking Iran would disrupt global energy markets. Iran has the capability to interfere with oil flows (especially in key shipping lanes), so economic fallout was a “known known”—not a surprise. 2. Failure to Build International Support They contrast this conflict with earlier U.S. wars: 1991 Gulf War: A broad coalition was built before combat—European allies, Arab states, and NATO partners were aligned. 2003 Iraq War: Even though controversial, the U.S. at least attempted to gain NATO backing and international legitimacy. Current situation: No real diplomatic effort was made to build a coalition. Europe is refusing to participate. European economies are already strained (e.g., from Russia sanctions), and this war is worsening their situation. Conclusion: The U.S. acted unilaterally and now stands isolated. 3. No Serious War Planning The speaker argues the war was launched …ပိုမို

Room of the Last Supper (Cenacle, the upper chamber), Mount Zion. The world's first church. Cenacle - Wikipedia The Cenacle (from the Latincenaculum, "dining room"), also known as the Upper Room (from the Koine Greekanagaion and hyperōion, both meaning "upper room"), is a room in Mount Zion in Jerusalem, just outside the Old City walls, traditionally held to be the site of the Last Supper, the final meal that, in the Gospel accounts, Jesus held with the apostles. According to the Christian Bible, the Cenacle was a place in which the apostles continued to gather after the Last Supper, and it was also the site where the Holy Spirit alighted upon the twelve apostles on Pentecost, Matthias having been "numbered with the eleven apostles" to replace Judas in Acts 1:25. The site is administered by the Israeli authorities, and is part of a building holding what is known as "David's Tomb" on its ground floor.
Room of the Last Supper (Cenacle, the upper chamber), Mount Zion. The world's first church. Zahi Shaked. Israeli tour guide Jun 12, 2013. The Cenacle (from Latincoenaculum), also known as the "Upper Room", is a room in Jerusalem traditionally held to be the site of The Last Supper. The word is a derivative of the Latin word cenō, which means dinner. In Christian tradition, based on Acts 1:13,[1] the "Upper Room" was not only the site of the Last Supper (i.e. the Cenacle), but the usual place where the Apostles stayed in Jerusalem and, according to the Catholic Encyclopedia,[2] "the first Christian church".
"He has come into our country and dwelt in one body amidst the many, and in consequence the designs of the enemy against mankind have been foiled and the corruption of death, which formerly held us in its power, has simply ceased to exist. For the human race would have perished utterly had not the Lord and Savior of all, the Son of God, come among us to put and end to death." Saint Athanasios of Alexandria

On March 28, a Lenten pilgrimage organized by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) was denied entry to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows in Cuceglio, near Turin, Italy. Despite being announced in advance, the church doors remained closed to the group, which included priests, religious sisters, and families who had walked several kilometers in devotion. The pilgrims had planned no Mass or formal liturgy - only a few concluding prayers. According to the local newspaper La Voce, the decision to close the gates to the pilgrims was made by the rector of the sanctuary, Don Luca Meinardi, and by Bishop Daniele Salera of Ivrea. The newspaper comments: "A choice that inevitably contradicts an ecclesiastical vocabulary which, in recent years, has emphasized words like welcome, inclusion, dialogue, and mercy." #newsSuicuzlbcj

The cancellation of the second World Children’s Day follows another decision made in February that brought a structural change by placing the initiative under the integrated management of the Roman Curia. Leo XIV dissolved the Pontifical Commission for World Children’s Day, a body created in 2024 by his predecessor, Pope Francis, for organizational matters. As a result, the president, vice president, and all members of the body — including Father Enzo Fortunato, who had served as president of the committee — automatically ceased their functions.
Saint Francis of Paola - April 2 Also known as Franciscus de Paula Francis the Fire Handler Francesco di Paola Francisco de Paula Memorial 2 April Profile Francis’ parents were childless for many years, but following prayers for the intercession of SaintFrancis of Assisi, they had three children; Francis was the oldest. Following a pilgrimage in his teens to Rome and Assisi in Italy, he became a hermit in a cave near Paola. Before he was 20 years old he began to attract followers. By the 1450‘s the followers had become so numerous that he established a Rule for them and sought Church approval. This was the founding of the Hermits of Saint Francis of Assisi, who were approved by the Holy See in 1474. In 1492 they were renamed the Franciscan Order of Minim Fiars, which means they count themselves the least of the family of God. Prophet. Miracle worker. Reputed to read minds. Girls are hitting puberty earlier than ever before — and the numbers are shocking. In the late 1800s, the average age was around 16–17. By the early 1900s it had dropped to 12.5–13. Today it’s down to about 11, with some Black and Hispanic girls showing signs as early as 8, 9, or even 6–7 years old — the earliest recorded in history. Patrick Bet-David asked FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary why this is happening. Makary pointed to the modern environment: constant exposure to substances and chemicals with estrogen-like binding properties (found even in river water) that partially activate estrogen receptors. He called it a “huge issue” and an existential threat to human development, noting the age has been dropping by about a week and a half every year for the last 30 years. He also mentioned that in Europe, where some of these exposures may be lower, puberty still starts later (14–15 in some cases), and that American medicine has largely treated this as a minor footnote rather than …ပိုမို

It's not the job of the senator to know how many illegal have committed crimes, which by the way is way far less than citizens who are even serial killers. But it is his duty to question the kind of work the DHS is doing and the way they are treating U.S. CITIZENS AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT BEING RACIALLY PROFILE, PHYSICALLY ABUSED, OR SHOT as a lady in this video who was shot and almost bled to death just because she looked "Mexican" or "Latina" and thus was shot multiple times as Nicole was and almost got killed. Speaking to journalists in Castel Gandolfo this evening, Pope Leo XIV called on world leaders to “come back to the table” and solve their problems through dialogue (video below). "I'm told that President Trump recently said he wanted to end the war. Hopefully, he is looking for a way out. I hope he's looking for a way to reduce the violence and bombing, which would significantly help to reduce the constant increase in hatred in the Middle East and elsewhere." Leo XIV added, "Come back to the table and engage in dialogue. Let's look for solutions to problems and ways to reduce violence, so that peace — especially at Easter — might reign in our hearts." The Pope was also asked about his decision to personally carry the cross during the traditional Stations of the Cross at the Colosseum on Friday. "I think it will be an important sign because of what the Pope represents: a spiritual leader in today's world and a voice saying that Christ still suffers." When asked what he expects from his …ပိုမို
